Brief History
Since 1993 Mole Golf Limited, a family-run business, has specialised in the shaping of golf courses. We believe we are the largest golf course shaping company in Europe having worked in many European countries. Much of our work is through recommendation and being the preferred contractor. Our scope of work has ranged from Pay & Play right up to Championship courses (new build or refurbishment) working in many different ground conditions, from peat bogs to rock.
Work Profile
We have now worked in more than 15 countries, on 78 contracts, building over 800 holes - and counting! We have also been involved in the earthmoving and/or shaping of 3 of the Top 20 courses in Germany (St. Leon Rot Heidelberg, Club zur Vahr Bremen, and Sankt Wendel, Saarbrucken), and earthworks and shaping on Golf Grad Otocec, in 2008 voted Best Course in Slovenia.

We have been fortunate to work with numerous shapers and now have a loyal team operating our machinery. We also have contact with many excellent shapers. Together they have a vast experience of golf course construction gathered from working throughout the world on many prestigious courses.

Machinery
We only use Caterpillar machines and have dozers ranging from D5 to D8. The D5s and D6s are LGP and most have PAT blades. All our excavators have long reach dippers and Powertilt buckets giving an excellent finish, even in tricky situations.
The D8 dozer, together with its pull scraper, is extremely efficient for cut and fill works on large earthwork projects. This machine can excavate 15 cubic meters in less than 30 seconds and transport it up to one kilometre, and deposit in layers. Use of this one machine can replace the use of one digger, two 25 tonne dumpers and one dozer doing the same work.
Choosing your Contractor
When choosing the contractor, Clients often opt for local companies. Sometimes, this is not cost effective as they can be inexperienced. Because of this lack of knowledge, contracts can take considerably longer to complete, giving a less than acceptable product.
Mole Golf Ltd offer fully experienced people from shapers to managers, thereby ensuring correct interpretation of Architect plans, completing in time and on budget, with a quality finished product.

We are probably the largest company specialising in golf course shaping, supplying experienced shapers and machinery to the golf industry.
Together with our European Partner Companies, we are also able to undertake all aspects of golf course construction - we would be pleased to receive any tender documents from interested parties.
