Boya Eagels Golf & Country Club, Hungary
We were asked by the owners to complete the shaping works on this new 18 hole course.  This ambitious project, complete with hotel, is situated in the east of Hungary very close to the Romanian border, and is believed to be the only golf course within 250 kms of Debrecen.  The Architects, Gaerten Hausen, made good use of existing contours, and were flexible enough to enable the clients to leave as many trees on site as possible.   This course is a little off the beaten track and, because of this, machines were not easily sourced, so a lot of the work was undertaken by teams of men, particularly on the irrigation.
