Golf Club Rottbach, nr München, Germany

This was our first foray into turn-key projects and what a job for our initiation into this type of work!! 50% of the course had to be constructed in a peat bog so specialist machinery had to be brought in in the form of Terragators from Holland. These machines are designed to travel over soft ground, such as peat, with few problems. Of course, there are always places to catch you out - as testified by the pictures ...

On the whole the project went well and took 3 months to complete the earthworks and shaping. The irrigation and seeding was sub-contracted out, and was completed within programmed works. The grass is growing well and the Club expect to play on the course early next year. Having said this, they were so keen to get going, they arranged a knock-out competition of the closest ball to the pin within 3 shots on hole No. 1! The Client and also the Architect (Thomas Himmel on www.golfhimmel.de ) were extremely happy with the end result

We were invited back in October 2007 to carry out the refurbishment of all tees.   Using our Cat. 312 digger this was completed in under 4 weeks.
