Working closely with the owner and golf pro, we were able to assist in the design of this new 6 hole short course which complements the existing 9. This new course was constructed using the “push up method” of constructing greens which involved utilising existing on-site material to form the shaping and contours. For the green itself, after shaping has been carried out, a 10cm layer of sand was put over the surface then mixed in. This makes for a very inexpensive construction method enabling the Club to get the build cost returned in a very short time.
