Wittelsbacher Golf Course ( www.wittelsbacher.de ), Neuburg an der Donau, Germany
We were invited by Thomas Biermann ( www.thomasbiermann.com ), with whom we have worked on many projects since 2000, to undertake this renovation work. Thomas was the Project Manager and the work involved the construction of a new chipping green, pitching green, and putting green, together with the renovation of all 18 greens. This consisted of removing the turf, excavating approximately 80cm into the green, installing new rootzone, and returfing. The project went extremely well and was completed in less than one month . We used our Cat. D5M dozer and two of our Cat. 312 excavators, together with 912 Hydremas, as well as the new 922 6-wheel Hydrema, which worked very well in this particular terrain.
